keneth-okonkwoPopular Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, is currently worried. This is not because he’s no longer getting scripts as an actor, but simply because the character he played in that foremost movie, Living in Bondage, is seriously posing a big challenge to him.
Kenneth opened up at the just concluded Best of Nollywood Awards which held last week in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. He said that after playing “Andy” in that classic movie, people hardly know him any more as Kenneth Okonkwo.

This, he said, has become a very big problem to him, even as he has declared his intention to go into politics. “I will have to sensitize the voters and make sure that they are familiar with the name Kenneth Okonkwo and not Andy before the general election.”
Kenneth joined the long list of Nigerian entertainers venturing into politics, after he picked up the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, nomination form during the week.
He wants to represent the people of Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2015.
After obtaining his form, excited actor posted on his online campaign site: “Join me in thanking God for assisting me obtain my nomination form of our great party PDP to contest for the House of Representatives to represent Nsukka/ Igboeze South Federal Constituency. To Him be all the glory.”
The actor who is also a lawyer expressed optimism that he will defeat his opponents at the polls.
Other celebs that have joined politics include Bob Manuel, Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw, 9ice, Tony Tetuila, and Julius Agwu, among others. Kenneth was brought to limelight following the role he played as ‘Andy’ in the movie, Living in Bondage, released in 1992.

Black, beautiful and bold Ache Rachael Sule known as Sexy Ache in the music scene, is definitely not a damsel in distress, rather she is one totally in control of her life and not one too laid back in flaunting her sexuality when occasion demands.

The fast-rising singer who broke into the industry  with her hit song African Lady opened up to Potpourri on why she featured the Afropop artiste Oritsefemi in her Afro-beat-inspired  track Gentle. She also dispelled the rumour that she is dating Oritsefemi.
In her words:”It’s was a great experience working with Oritsefemi. He   was the best person for the song at that time. He is a very versatile artiste and very good at what he does. Gentle was inspired by the great Fela kuti .The song is an   Afrobeat tune that  says we should take things one step at a time, we should be gentle in our approach towards life because there is no rush in life.”
She continues: “I like the white part of Ortisefemi hair but l cannot date him. I can date him as a friend, hang out with him and take a couple of drinks but for a relationship   it’s a no! When we shot the video and some people got hold of the pictures online, people were saying I am Oritsefemi’s girl friend. It’s just a professional relationship”

Day everybody wanted to hug Cossy Orjiakor

By Ayo Onikoyi
*CossyIf not many people would agree that Nollywood diva, Cossy Orjiakor is on top of her game, as an actress and a singer, not many also would disagree that she does cause commotion everywhere she goes.
She is a specimen many wives would not want within a glancing distance of their husbands even though many husbands would stick out their necks to have a peek, of at least, her heavy chest, a number of them wouldn’t even mind helping deliver safely.

Couple of weeks ago, I ran into the Nutty Queen crooner at X Factor nightclub in Surulere, Lagos, where she had come to honour a friend’s invitation to a birthday bash holding at the club. Though it was around 2am in the morning and things were just getting along as routinely as you could expect a club at that time. But when Cossy showed up, everything went berserk. It was chaos as everybody crowded her, asking her one question or the other. The shouts of “ Cossy give me a hug” rented the air as one person tried to outdo the other, in reaching out to her.
In the melee I guessed she recognised me and called out my name. In a flash, she reached out, with all her endowment bubbling viciously toward me. And what could a hapless guy like me do? I reached out too to receive. After that what I got were looks of envy from other guys and some pats on the back.

My boobs brought me to limelight—— Ronke Ojo

Posted by 9jasouth on 10/30/2014
Posted in: ENTERTAINMENT, GIST. Leave a comment

Ronke-OjoBy Ayo OnikoyiRonke Ojo Anthony, whom everybody calls Oshodi Oke, due to her natural frontal endowment, is quite heavy. She is big in every ramification .If you want to be witty, naughty, smart or intelligent, Ronke is equal to the task and she is a good actress. The star actress, in this interview reveals intimate secrets about her life, career, marriage and future ambitions. How did you come about acting?I started acting as a result of some challenges that came my way when growing up. My father was a custom officer and my mother a grade II teacher. Things were smooth for us until my father had issues with the Nigeria Customs and there was a turn around. My mum’s income was not enough for our upkeep and as the first child of the family, I wanted to support her. I moved into selling of clothes and other petty businesses at Tincan Island . But before that, I had loved entertainment, simply by watching home videos.
Music and films were part of me. I had a cousin who I used to accompany to Fadeyi to see a friend of his. Then actors had their caucus known as ‘Star Parade’ there and each time we went visiting, I felt like becoming part of them. In 1997, I walked up to Mufutau Oladokun (Baba Alaran) who later became my boss and that was how I found my way into the world of acting.
What is acting to you?I believe the blood of acting runs in my family. Even my father was a member of cultural and theatre group in his university days at Obafemi Awolowo University, O.A.U. He was also part of stage productions like Macbeth where he even acted as a lady. But It took me sixteen times to get a scene right the first time I was in front of the camera; Although the film didn’t leave the shelf.
Apart from your innate passion for acting, who else inspired you into acting? The late Ireti. I loved her acting and I am glad I worked with her before her demise. She was my heroine and mentor.
Some people refer to you as an illiterate because you never attended a university, your comment?I have a good background and valued education. But going to the university was something I had to sacrifice when things became rough for my family. I have the plan of going back to school but as the breadwinner of my family, a career woman, mother and a wife, it has not been easy. But when the time comes, I will, even if it means going abroad to avoid distraction.
Your source of motivation?I have seen many things in life that motivate me. But I get inspired when inside or around water. When I am in the bathroom, many things come to my mind. I love nature a lot.
Which film brought you to limelight? It was Oshodi Oke, written and produced by Sunday Soyinka in 2000. A friend introduced me to him and I went to the location. On getting there, Iyabo Yoyo and the producer had issues and she left angrily. I didn’t know what was happening but I was given her role, the lead role in the movie. I never knew it was the lead role, the joy of having to take up such a big role was enough for me and I enjoyed every bit of it. When the film was premiered at the National Theatre, everybody loved it and that was when it dawned on me that I was cheated because I wasn’t made to understand I was taking a lead role or rewarded as such. But I was too happy to care, I shed tears.
How did you come about comedy? It was Saheed Balogun who discovered that side of me when we were eating together in London. We were also watching a comedy film while eating. He looked sternly at me and told me I could do it. He did everything but I produced the film. All thanks to him.
How do you manage between comedy and other roles?Acting is all make-believe and that is what it means to be called Ronke Oshodi Oke. Today, I could be a dancer, tomorrow a doctor and I must put out the character perfectly to remain relevant in the industry. Ronke Ojo and Ronke Oshodi Oke are two different people using one image.
You have big boobs, have they caused you any embarrassment? Before now, I get ashamed of them. But I later began to see the beautiful side and stopped hiding them because they fit me. People appreciate my boobs and I also love it. My boobs are one of the things that brought me to limelight in the movie industry.
Is your boobs your selling point?Yes, it is and apart from that it is one part of my body I cherish most.
How will you react to the increase in premarital sex among our youths?Sex is a normal part of life just like money. I know I am a Yoruba ambassador but personally I believe any body above 18 and has a serious relationship can have sex even outside marriage. The couple should know what they have underneath their clothes before they get committed to each other for life. What if I do not like the size as a lady? Frankly, it is one of the reasons why many go into extra marital affairs. Even when a man has everything in the world and does not satisfy me sexually, there is serious trouble. I cannot go into a marriage and start regretting, besides, you won’t be able to tell your family members what you are going through in the name of marriage. I can not manage sex, it is either I enjoy it or disapprove it.
Are you happily married?Yes, I am.
Why are you not living with your spouse?Ronke-Ojo-2I prefer how we live apart. At the early stage of our courtship, it was a bone of contention but later he knew what I wanted and I appreciate him for that. If I really want to be successful in my marriage and career, this is how best we feel we can go about it.
It was also gathered that you once broke up with your spouse?I met my husband in1999 after Ronke Oshodi Oke came out. We became lovers in 2000 but we could not move to the next level because of certain differences. Most Nigerian guys would think twice before marrying an actress. We dated for four years and went our separate ways. In-between those four years I met another guy whom I had my first child for. A year after I had my first issue, my then lover, who is now my husband came back and we began our affair in secret, though he proposed to me three times during the time.
Why the secret affair?I did not want to have kids for different men. But because we were best of friends, he was always there for me and we were in love, we settled our differences and came back together.
Why did you leave the father of your first child? He wanted me to come stay in Canada with him and I can not live outside Nigeria for any reason, I can only go visiting . Moreover, living in Canada will affect my career. I could not get happiness from the union but I waited five years before going into another marriage officially.
Can we say it is one of the reasons you are reluctant to live with your husband? Not at all. It only shows we understand ourselves very well. My husband is my friend.
How have you been coping as mother, career woman and a wife?It has not been easy but as an African woman I have been managing well. Besides, I have a very supportive mother and an understanding husband. My children stay with my mum and I come around when I am free.
Despite your popularity, why did it take so long to get citizenship card for your son?Getting a citizenship card has its processes irrespective of who you are and I don’t believe in using the back door in doing things.
If you have the chance to marry an actor, which actor would you go for? Many journalists have asked this same question but I dodge the question each time. Honestly, I would go for Akin Lewis because he is a very matured man who I hold in high esteem.
Yoruba films seem to promote the act of one person doing almost everything in a film, why?Film-making ought to be a division of labour but at the same time, one can decide to be a jack of all trades so far it is done well. At times, there could be difficulty in getting the right person for the job. If you could not get a person to interprete a particular role, what is wrong with doing it yourself? I am not good at scriptwriting so I invite someone who does that for me and we later come together to edit.
What are those things you think need to be changed or corrected in Nollywood?I will do a thorough screening of those joining the industry. Different people have different talents. Not all of us must be in front of the cameras. There is a place for everyone. We can not all be in entertainment too.
Why is single motherhood on the increase in Nigeria? Our men want to live the way our forefathers did, and it is almost impossible. But our fathers never asked their wives for money. I mean they didn’t share financial responsibilities with their wives and this made it easy for their wives to be 100% dependent, loyal and respectful to them. It will be difficult for a man who shares responsibilities with his wife to control her fully. Many homes today have the wife as the breadwinner. And this is not because the man does not have money but because he is only irresponsible and doesn’t want to face his responsibilities squarely. I cannot respect a man who does not know how I do my things or even respect my opinion. When we have two masters in a ship, the ship will capsize. Many men have one wife but with numerous concubines.
How do you relate with male friends?I relate with them like any other lady. It is just one of the principles of life that opposite sex attracts one another more.
Anything new from you?I am working on a comedy film that will be in pidgin English to make it universal. Also, I will be releasing my album by November 17th featuring Oritsefemi and others.

Speaking further, he said that  an estimated number of over five hundred thousand participants made of residents, tourists, fun lovers and representatives of corporate bodies will converge on Port Harcourt during the one week duration of the carnival with estimated daily business exchanges running into several millions.

We are also working with other stakeholders in the health and other key sectors to ensure that we create a conducive environment for our visitors,’ he said.
Dede also hinted about the technical innovation of the 2014 edition of the carnival. ‘This year, we are set to introduce our state-of-the-art performance stage spanning 140 feet and reputed as the biggest of its kind in Africa. The stage has the capacity to hold a large collection of performers at once and withstand heavy duty equipments and stage accessories. The stage will also be deployed for the first time for the benefit of sponsors in the areas of branding and related purposes,’ he said’
Chairman of the Board of Rivers State Tourism Development Agency, RSTDA, Deacon Vincent Erinwo assured that the RSTDA will judiciously expend every fund released by the government for the purpose of the carnival, reiterating that the carnival is a project that is dear to the heart of the Government and people of the state. And there are more that we can not reveal in one sitting”, said Dede.

imageBy 11pm tonight when the final episode of this year’s edition of Gulder Ultimate Search, Africa’s longest running reality TV programme, would have aired, a new winner would have emerged. One of the four remaining contestants on the show would have found the great General’s Helmet thus bringing an end to a Mission for which over thousands of individuals registered to be a part of.

Of the 14 contestants that were selected from over 40,000 applicants to enter the Aguleri jungle, only four remain. They are Otto Canon, a 25 year old undergraduate, Nne Cosy Joe, a 28 year graduate of Agric Science, Emmanuel Afolabi, a 29 year old undergraduate and 24 year old Chinedu Ubachukwu, also an undergraduate.
For the millions of viewers of Gulder Ultimate Search 11, the anxiety
and excitement over who is crowned the new ultimate champion is fever pitch. However, for the remaining contestants, the journey to the final stage of the show has been long and tortuous.
They have progressed through several phases on this year’s edition; including the precision phase, the survivor phase and the innovation phase. They were also inducted into the Elite Squad of the great General’s Army.
The remaining contestants are also not leaving anything to chance as they have been assessing their fellow contestants’ strengths and weaknesses ahead of an epic battle to locate the helmet.Chinedu said Otto is strong in solving riddles but weak in solving puzzles. Chinedu also pointed out that Emmanuel is not too good with puzzles.
He further revealed that Cosy is better at solving puzzles and not very good with riddles.Emmanuel said he never expected he would be among the four finalists for Gulder Ultimate Search 11.
He also confessed that he was not good with puzzles. Emmanuel however said he’s working on improving his puzzle solving skill. He said: “Over time, I’ve learnt to stay calm, paint a mental picture before I start working, and while I am working with my hands, my head is thinking ahead.”Emmanuel described Chinedu as a proud and arrogant person.
He hinted that these attributes may lead to his downfall. Cosy corroborated Emmanuel’s claims. He said: “Chinedu is erratic and the type of confidence he has may also be suicidal.”Cosy assessed Emmanuel as a contestant who is good with riddles but not with puzzles. Cosy confessed that he can be easily beaten in riddles.
He noted: “They can beat me in riddles. It’s always funny when someone uses his own knowledge to set a question for me and you expect me to get the answer.”Otto also confessed that he was not too good with solving puzzles. Otto’s fate of continuing in Gulder Ultimate Search 11 hangs in the balance as he failed Episode 25’s Code Box task.
The winner of Gulder Ultimate Search 11 will drive home a brand new SUV in addition to the N10 million grand prize money. For the first time in three years, no female contestant will be part of the final search. Samantha Appi, who emerged as the Last Woman Standing was evicted in Episode 25 after failing the Infinity task.
Her performance in the reality TV programme has been described as marvellous and even earned her respect from both her male and female contestants. Being the smallest of the seven female contestants did not deter her.
After emerging the Last Woman Standing, Samatha said she felt very good, adding that she thoroughly enjoyed her stay as a contestant.
Speaking on her achievements despite her small frame, Samatha noted: It’s not really about my size but about my thinking capabilities. And most of the time, my size was my motivation.
People thought I will not be able to do some things because they think I am fragile due to my small frame. But I look at myself and I tell myself, I know I can do this even though people think I can’t do it.”For the first time in the history of Gulder Ultimate Search, the Last Woman Standing will drive home a brand new Ford Eco sport.
This is in addition to the amount that will accrue to her as the fifth placed contestant.Gulder has recorded another first as the beer brand will also give the contestant who emerges as the winner of the on-going Viewers’ Choice a brand new Ford Focus car.

I won’t obey court order based on hearsay – Danagogo

Tamuno Danagogo

Tamuno Danagogo

Sports Minister Tammy Danagogo says he will ‘never obey’ any court order that is not explicitly served on him, amid accusations of disobeying a court order after appearing in public with Amaju Pinnick, whose election as the Nigeria Football Federation President was annulled by the Federal High Court in Jos.

The Sports Minister was with Pinnick in Lagos when the Falcons arrived in Nigeria with the AWC trophy, and Pinnick received the team as the NFF President – an event which has led to accusations of Danagogo disobeying court orders.
But Danagogo, a Doctor of Law, has defended his actions, saying he will never obey a court order that wasn’t served on him.
“I will never obey a court order based on what a newspaper or                                                             television is telling me. You can come and tell me the court has said Amaju is President or the court has said Giwa is President, I will not obey that,” said Danagogo.
“You obey or disobey a court order based on order of court, duly endorsed by the court and served on you.”
The sports minister also says he has no right to stop Amaju Pinnick from parading himself as the NFF President until he receives a formal order from the court ordering him to do so.
“If I have not received any such formally enrolled order of court and then I go to either a football function and then I see Amaju (Pinnick) there, I will have no right whatsoever in this world to tell him to leave, I cannot,” he added.
“It is only when a court enrols a mandatory order and serves on me and says that ‘don’t ever do this with this man’, that’s when I can say ‘let me be careful’.
“But that has not happened.”
The factions led by Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick held a closed door meeting with the Sports Minister in his office on Tuesday.
Both factions were encouraged to sit down with each other and iron their differences out. They will meet again with Danagogo on Wednesday afternoon.

Rivers 2015: Jonathan ’ll not stand against our will — Major Anyanya

Posted by 9jasouth on 10/30/2014
Posted in: POLITICS. Leave a comment
                                          Lancelot Anyanya
Explains why he wants to govern Rivers
MAJOR  Lancelot Anyanya (rtd), Chairman, Governing Board of National Oil Spills Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) and a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,

governorship aspirant in Rivers State, in this interview de-constructed the general belief that closeness to the presidency would guarantee an automatic victory for any candidate at the primaries. Excerpts:

By Charles Kumolu
What inspired your ambition?
Rivers State is a very important state in Nigeria. It is one of the first states to be created at the eve of the civil war. Because of its uniqueness we want to do something very different. We are seeking to move away from the pattern of notoriety. With the greatest sense of respect, my brother who is the current governor, things ought to have been done differently.
I think that the if maturity had been exhibited, things would have been done very differently. If you look at the political history of the state, you will discover that the state had never been in the opposition. And there is a reason for that. Nobody has become President of Nigeria without winning Rivers State. The only election, which the perceived winner did not carry Rivers State, was the June 12 elections. And government was never formed on the premise of that electoral victory. I don’t know how to explain it.
May be there is a divine connection to it. The state is the treasure base of the nation for good reasons. There has always been spotlight on the state. And the governorship elections in the state, has always attracted the attention of people within and outside the state. Even if it was not a President Jonathan I will expect every other President to be interested in the emergence of political leadership in the state.
The state is a critical economic nerve centre of the country. The Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG, is there, National Fertiliser Company of Nigeria,NAFCON is there. We have two refineries there and two seaports there. There are several crude oil deposits there. If Rivers State goes down for any reason, the Nigerian economy will shut down.
On capability
Where I am coming from as a village boy, who God has brought this far, should tell anyone that I am a focused man, who can do the job. I was supremely prepared by God to embark on this project.
I am a bonafide member of the Peoples Democratic Party. I am from Atagba in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. I try to avoid the argument that the state is divided between upland and lowland. I avoid it because I think that every part of the state has enough materials to produce the governor. And anybody, who wants to be governor in a state like Rivers, must be capable of articulating a more intelligent reason for wanting authority to serve.
So, I do not want to see myself in that mould. However it will be hypocritical for me to pretend that there is no framework for understanding, designed by our fore bearers on how political offices are shared. If I pretend that it does not exist, that will be very dishonest of me. I am saying that as a person, I don’t think the upland and lowland arguments are uncalled for. We are adequately prepared by the reason of our education and experience to offer services to our people.
A lot of people have shown interest in the race in a state where the incumbent governor, who decamped to the All Progressives Congress,APC, is believed to have done well. The president’s wife is also from there, while the Minister of State for Education, who holds the party structure has shown interest. Do you belong to any of these blocs?
The PDP is the peoples party, regardless of what you want to believe in. We have seen the most unlikely things happen in the party. Every political party wants to win elections. And the choice of candidate matters a lot with much attention to the peculiarities of the local environment.
I believe that our party wants to pick a candidate that will guarantee victory. I hope you remember how our governor came to office. We all know that his name was not on the ballot papers. And the Supreme Court affirmed that he won the election because he owned the ticket before his name was wrongly substituted.
The Supreme Court held that the party is the candidate. Some of us had mixed feelings but there was nothing we could do. The personality of the candidate has effect on the fortunes of the party. That shows that our party must go for a candidate, who does not have so much issues trailing him. That person must be able to sell himself. We have gone to the people. And they will judge who best seems to understand their problems.
The relationship between him and the President
The President is the father of the nation. He is my President and party leader. Don forget that he is my commander in chief. By the privilege of his appointment, I chair a federal board. I don’t like it when people overplay the President’s interest. His interest is the good of the nation. If the people are on my side, I doubt if the President will be against the people. He wants the support and good of the people, so why would he be against me?
His chances of picking the PDP ticket
If I did not think I would get the party ticket, I would not have started. I have said that I am a person of faith. So my faith is propelling me. My eyes are always on the prize. We have the ability to make a persuasive case to the delegates and party leaders. I have consulted at the strongholds of my perceived opponents. I don’t have the money my opponent has, but I believe in God. If I was not ready I would not have involved in this expensive project.

Lagos court saves 6-year-old barren marriage

Posted by 9jasouth on 10/30/2014

An Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Thursday saved a barren six-year-old marriage between Mr Sodiq Oseni and his wife, Kemi, and rejected a plea for its dissolution.

The husband and wife, who had expected a dissolution of the marriage, got a “pleasant surprise’’ when the prayer sought was not granted.
It was reported that the court’s president, Mr R.I. Adeyeri, reconciled the couple instead of dissolving the union after series of counseling.
While striking out the case, Adeyeri admonished the couple to maintain peace always.
The petitioner, Kemi, 47, a teacher, had filed a suit on Aug. 5, seeking the dissolution of her six-year-old marriage, citing adultery.
She said her husband, Sodiq, was taking advantage of her childlessness to befriend several women.
“My husband has been bringing his girlfriends to our matrimonial home even to spend the night just because of my childlessness,’’ she said.
She also accused her husband of always raining curses and abuses on her, saying she inherited “bad behaviours’’ from her mother.
“Anytime we had misunderstandings, my husband would throw out my belongings and chase me out of the house,” said Kemi, a pupil instructor.
She further accused the husband of abandonment and lack of care and that he had turned her into a punching bag at the slightest misunderstanding.
She pleaded with the court to dissolve the union, saying “there is no love lost between them and he has no more emotional feelings for me.’’
“Please separate us, my husband does not love me again as he is flirting around with ladies.’’
In his defence, Sodiq, 53, a security officer, accepted responsibility for some of the allegations leveled against him by his wife.
“I always throw out her property because of her bad behaviours.
“I usually plead with her mother for her intervention to persuade my wife to come back home,’’ he told the court.
The respondent, however, denied bringing his concubines into their matrimonial home and that he only accommodated a female friend, who had accommodation problem.
He, however, pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage, saying “I still love her.’’ (NAN)

4 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Buy A Cheap Android Smartphone Device

                             cheap android phones

Android devices have actually been leading the smartphone market share in recent times due to their ability to perform a multitude of basic tasks every smartphone user loves. You could attribute this to the fact that there are lots of android developers and in turn tons of freeware applications to try out.

This has actually inscribed the love for the Android OS devices into the minds of several mobile users eventually leading to a spike in the demand for these gadgets. One thing that once upon a time used to slow down the demand for android devices was the high price, but this time, there are a host of smartphone manufacturers such as Tecno, Infinix e.t.c that would readily provide you with an android device at a cheap and affordable rate.
These devices perform like, well, every other device from an afar off look and would usually seem too good to be overlooked, but do you think you deserve such cheap android devices? Let’s find out.

Why You Must Run Far Away From Cheap Android Smartphones

1. Poor Quality Materials

No smartphone manufacturer would be offering you a cheap device and at the same time use quality materials to produce the device. They definitely would have to cut down on their production cost in order to make up the cheap price they offer the device.
If you are purchasing any cheap android smartphone or tablet, you have to bear in mind that it’s definitely going to be made of inferior materials and could easily crash because of it’s fragile nature. You must have noticed how these cheap android devices suffer cracked screens and all that.

2. Low Quality Touch Screens

Few days back, I decided to check out the screen responsiveness of my HTC One and another cheap android device, you could for sure see the frustration on my face. Cheap android phones are usually coupled with poor quality touch screens that usually can’t respond correctly to gestures and swipes. If you are going for a cheap phone, then this is one major problem you should expect.

3. Low Quality Battery

Low life batteries are synonymous to cheap android devices if you ask me, it is one thing that all such smartphones have in common. I normally won’t recommend you go for such devices as they definitely would turn you into an A.C wall socket addict in search of the nearest corner to get charge into your smartphone.
Want to charge your android powered phone just once a day? Then steer clear of cheap android phones.

4. Forget OTA Updates

Google recently announced the Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System and most devices such as HTC One M7 and M8 and the Sony Xperia Z line would be getting the updates soon. But when it comes to getting an Over The Air update for cheap android devices, that should be a myth.
Most if not all cheap android smartphones do not have support for future updates and this can be a pain in the butt. You would definitely need to make updates manually or run custom ROMs on such devices to enjoy what others would at just some few screen taps.
