Nigerian rapper cum singer Skales, recently revealed the reason he left Eme for Baseline Records, where he is expecting to drop his album. The singer’s contract with EME was not renewed, which forced him out of the label.
The artiste said he still maintains a good relationship with the label because his exit was a mutual agreement.
Speaking on a radio show on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, Skales said he believes in doing things by himself.
“I just believe in doing things myself, I have big dreams, and there are things I want to do, and people don’t understand me, but as time goes on, they will get used to it. I am one of the few people that believe success is the best revenge, I am not ready for any beef, I think I have grown,” he said.
Commenting further, he said part of the things he did not like was the working differences.
“This is the way I want to go and they say this is the way they want me to go and that’s not me, it can’t work. That’s part of the reasons though, there is always two stories to everything. I am just saying how I feel; I don’t want to go deeper than this, before I offend anybody,” Skales further said.
According to the artiste, his new record label, Baseline, was willing to make him bigger and had big plans for him, which made him joined the company.
He said the music outfit is now giving back to his fans by giving out $10,000.
“We are giving out $10,000 to any fan who uploads a video, dancing to ‘Shake Body’ (his new single) and the fan with the highest views and like gets the money,” Skales noted, while sending “a big shout out to Baseline for making this

Last week, popular Lagos pastor and founder of Trinity House church, Ituah Ighodalo, was credited as saying he has found a solution to the deadly Ebola disease and that Ebola victims should not seek medical attention. Ighodalo has denied saying this, insisting he was misquoted.
Below is a statement he released yesterday
“It has come to our attention a story published by the Punch newspaper written by one Temitayo Famutimi in response to a post on our official Facebook page. The original story was a message of hope and faith reminding us of the ever living words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and reaffirming our belief that ‘with God all things are possible’ , using the John Lake testimony and written to encourage us never to cease praying no matter what we or the world may be going through.”
Nowhere in the said story did Pastor Ighodalo make claims that he had found a solution or that “only God’s anointing and the living words of Jesus” were all that were needed for the Ebola disease or that people should not seek medical help and attention. Continue
In no way did the story suggest for people to act irresponsibly with regards to any medical emergency including the Ebola virus. The headline of the story and its contents were clearly written with sensationalism in mind. In the spirit of good journalism the reporter should have made attempts to contact the church to verify his story. This negates the practice of professional journalism, which we would have expected from a leading newspaper such as Punch. We sympathise with those who have lost loved ones to the disease and indeed most other diseases ravaging our world including AIDs, Cancer and Malaria and our prayer is that as the medical world continues to look for a solution to the disease and that our God will provide succour and encouragement to all the innocent people going through this trauma and do that, which only He can do”. the statement read

A suspected kidnapper who disguised as a mad man has been arrested at Alakija bus stop in Lagos after he allegedly attacked two policemen on duty with a bottle.
The drama took place inside the premises of a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Alakija area of Lagos state Nigeria yesterday.
The policemen on duty were attacked as they tried to chase an insane woman away from the premises of the aforementioned church.

“Trouble started when the woman was standing in front of the church and policemen deployed to the area attempted to evict her.
“Suddenly, a madman, who was watching what was going on, went to meet the policemen ostensibly to stop them.
“The policemen left the woman and confronted the insane man. They started beating him with their batons. The madman, who was with a stick started flogging the policemen.
“Suddenly, the madman brought out a broken bottle from his bag and stabbed the two policemen, who were later rushed to Navy Town Hospital by church members and onlookers.
“News got to other policemen attached to the church that their colleagues had been stabbed by a Madman and they reinforced and began to look for the madman, whom they found at Alakija Bus-stop.
“The five policemen surrounded the madman and tried to overpower him and after much struggle, they tied him up with a rope and bundled him into their van and took him back to the church for interrogation.”

The Lagos state government has warned pastor TB Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations not to accept Ebola victims if they come to him for healing.
According to The Nation officials of Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Federal Government, led by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, visited him seeking his cooperation in ensuring victims of the deadly virus are not brought to his church for healing. Synagogue is a popular destination for sick people who go there for divine healing.
“We have our strategies that we intend to share with you. Again, we need to know the resources you have here because whether it is one or two cases, if they are allowed to get out, it is a major problem. The commissioner added that the visit is one of the state government’s strategies of sensitizing faith-based organizations on the need to cooperate with the government to prevent the spread of the disease in the country by educating the worshipers to report health issues to medical experts.
