In an exclusive interview with Sahara TV, Davido, who is currently in the US, said his recent online beef with Wizkid was because of the shade Wizkid threw regarding their concerts in the US…
“It’s not beef at all..but I’m the type of person if I feel something..to me everything you do, you don’t hit your brother down. This is the first time I’m saying this but the only reason I was upset was because of the NY concert. I was even going to tweet like you know ‘make sure everybody turn up for my brother Wizkid’s concert’ and he threw a shade like that. I’m not going to take that…that’s why I went and said what I said. But it’s all cool, at the end of the day, we got to keep it on the music. Shout out to him. I’m still a big fan. It was never nothing but don’t throw a shade at me…especially when we were on the flight earlier. By the way, check the numbers on my last concert. Let’s leave it like that..” David said. Mercy Johnson-Okojie in a new touching interview with Nigerian Tribune got to talk about her humble beginning – living in an uncompleted building with lizards and her family members.
And how her brother had to take a menial job, working as a bricklayer to provide for the family.
Excerpts:
How has it been through fame and glamour?
There have been the good and bad times; there have been rumours and scandals. Sometimes when I cry in movies, it isn’t the script that makes me cry.
When I recall my humble beginning, I give thanks to God. When I remember how we moved into an uncompleted building and had to take cover whenever it rained because of the condition of the house;
how my brother did a menial job as a bricklayer to earn a living and those days when we rolled over a stick to cover the windows up till the point when I started acting and raised money to cover the roof… I recall those days we were living with lizards because the floor and the walls of the house were not plastered, or when I had scars as a result of my several falls.
So how did you start acting?
After my secondary school education, I failed the University Matriculation Examination (UME) and came back to Lagos to get a degree.
While that was on, I watched Genevieve Nnaji in a movie entitled: Sharon Stone. I later approached a friend for assistance to feature in a movie. He said I had a great body and that I would make a good actress. He later took me to the National Theatre, but a role did not come until a year later, when I had my first lead role in a film entitled: The Maid.
The Maid was my starting point and it was quite challenging to play the lead role because it was my first movie. I was fidgeting when I saw the likes of Eucharia Anunobi, whom I regarded as a screen goddess during my secondary school days. I never thought I would make it with people like that.
So, when I saw her, I was so excited and considered standing beside her as sacred.
She actually realized that and later helped me by giving me the needed courage.

There have being reactions from both within and outside Nigeria ever Since President Goodluck Jonathan signed the new anti-g.a.y act into law
While some have thrown their weights behind it, others have continued to criticise it, claiming the President should be more interested in other pressing issues than homos.exuality, which the Western world has already embraced.
According to the act, anyone involved in homosexual risks 10 to 14 years jail term.
“The public show of same se.x amorous relationship directly or indirectly is prohibited,” the Same S.ex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, 2013 stated in Section 4, subsection 2.
Also, the same act stated in Section 5, subsection 2 that, “A person who registers, operates or participate in gay clubs, societies and organisation, or directly or indirectly makes public show of same se.x amorous relationship in Nigeria commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a term of 10 years imprisonment.”
With the above, top Nigerian rapper, Olamide, may be in trouble due to some scenes in his new music video, ‘Story for the gods’, which suggests acts of ho.mo.
Clips munched from the video show some ladies displaying what is relating to se.xual desire(s) and according to Section 5, subsection 2 of the act, Olamide might spend 10 years behind bars.
Though the video has been receiving massive airplays on cable stations, scenes suggesting amorous relationships in the video have continued to be blurred by the media stations playing it.
One of the questions begging for answer is ‘will Olamide be the first celebrity to land in jail under the new Same S.ex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, 2013’?

Last week, The Whole of Kisii Town was thrown into shock after a Kisii lady named, Millicent B Motende, bragged on facebook that she has infected 31 men with the HIV virus and she is on a mission of leading men to their graves by spreading the deadly virus. The post first appeared on a Kisii Group on facebook and later on another group with her swearing that she is targeting 76 more.
Motende Milicent is a student at Rongo University College and she has been dishing out her flesh to other male students and lecturers without using protection. She also gives out her honey jar freely around popular entertainment joints in Kisii.
A reliable source told our team that she is on a mission of infecting more men and among those already infected are two lecturers at Rongo University.
Was her facebook page hacked and someone posted that? We don’t know, we tried contacting her and this is how she responded
i thank GOD i hv yu@ ****** infct wengi wananifuata!!!j who said milly is the desperate bitch!!!
She has since then changed her facebook username from Mee Lee Motende and opened another one under Millcent B Motende and has been unreachable.
As the people’s watchmen, we release her photos so that men can avoid her like plague. If you have had any s3xual contact with her, visit the nearest VCT centre as soon as possible.
