Lol. This Snoop Dogg can find trouble. This brouhaha has since been deleted from Snoop’s instagram page but here’s what happened. Snoop posted the pic you see above on his page and captioned it ‘Iggy Azalea without makeup.”, insulting Iggy’s appearance after she was pictured without makeup at LAX last week.

Iggy didn’t find it funny and went on twitter to slam the rap legend. Her tweets can be found right. But Snoop wasn’t having any of that. He replied Iggy by telling her to fix her face…lol. Bladdy! See that after the cut…

Big Brother Hotshots rep, Tayo Faniran welcomes son with girlfriend

Before he went into the Big Brother Africa House, Nigerian rep Tayo Faniran and his girlfriend were expecting their first child together. Tayo received the joyous news on the show yesterday during his diary session that his girlfriend had given birth to a baby boy (pictured right). The little bundle of joy has since been named Akintoye. Congrats to them.

President Jonathan today August 28th launched the new national e-ID card at the Villa in Abuja. 
The new e-ID card which is powered by MasterCard is a multi-purpose card for identification, electronic signatures, and can be used for depositing money, withdrawing and making payments.
So it’s both an ID card and ATM.
The first phase of the project will see 13million Nigerians issued the card while the next phase will target 100million Nigerians.
The project is a partnership with MasterCard, the Nigerian National Identity Management Commission and Access bank.

Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan, has been painted as leader lacking in integrity and credibility by the Times Magazine of London, in the wake of happenings in the country, especially the issue of insecurity and corruption.
The Times Magazine political cartoonist, Peter Brookes, did this cartoon of our president, to conform with what some world leaders think of the man who leads the most populated black country in the world.

The first to set the ball rolling was USA’s Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton who said:
Jonathan is running a government that is supervising syphoning of Nigeria’s resources;
while US Senator, John Maccain said:
Jonathan’s government is practically not existing and therefore, America should just storm Nigeria and rescue the (kidnapped) girls before things got out of hand.

As Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s involvement in the recent $9.3m arms deals which conveyed in his private jet, draws more and more controversies, Chris Okotie, founder of Household of God Church, has called on the CAN President to do the right thing:
Pastor Chris, in an article entitled: ‘$9.3m scandal: Oritsejafor should do the right thing’, had this to say.

“Not that it is a sin to be the President’s pal, but when such relationship becomes provocatively patronizing, or self-serving, it is unacceptable.
The pastor does not show restraint in the way he goes about, publicly hobnobbing with the President as if he is the Chaplain of Aso Rock.
This certainly has compromised the integrity of his office as CAN President and his latest incident is just the climax of embarrassing incidents we can’t tolerate any longer. Considering the collateral damage Pastor Ayo’s close relationship with the President has done to the Christian community, it is fit and proper for the pastor to resign immediately as CAN President to salvage what remains of the battered image of the association.
This is without prejudice to the ongoing investigation on the matter. Denials of his culpability by the Federal Government, CAN official and his own recent defense, do nothing to reduce the moral burden this whole saga places on his shoulders. As the titular leader of Christians in Nigeria, there’s now a serious crisis of confidence on his leadership and he ought to respond to it by resigning from his exalted position.”

Super producer Samklef is not happy with Wizkid. Speaking exclusively to LIB Samklef, who produced Wizkid’s hit single Tease Me and five other songs in Wizkid’s first album, said the superstar singer has not only refused to work with him again, he’s also going about dissing his (Samklef) talent.
“I’m not happy with Wizkid. I like his music, but I don’t like him as a person anymore.
The reason I don’t like him anymore is, why do you go about spoiling other people’s business?
I never spoiled your business, never came out to say anything bad about you for four years.
So why would you go to an OAP and tell the OAP that the reason why you no longer work with me is because my beat is amateur.

What does that mean?
Those amateur beats was what brought you to limelight, was what made you meet the same Akon who first dropped ‘Don’t Dull’ on your voice.” Samklef said.
I never downgraded him. I showed him love. I used to go to his house…but he never came to mine.
He doesn’t know my house. He hasn’t even seen my son before. It means he doesn’t regard me as a friend.
I wanted to feature him in one of my songs but this guy kept posting me for years.
That’s not even why I am angry. I am angry because he’s going about disrespecting my talent. Saying these things in public. It is annoying.
“I’m doing fine without Wizkid. I don’t want to say I regret working with him but I’m thanking God that we are all alive.
But ask him, the people you are going to feature in America, if they were like you, would you meet them?
“I wish him luck. I don’t regret working with his talent, I only regret working with his person.
His fame took him away. He forgot where he was coming from. His person is very disgusting.
There’s something we call the grace of God. Before Wizkid got to where he is today, somebody gave him a front line, somebody introduced him.
He didn’t just come from anywhere. Making music is not just about one person. Banky was there to give him the front line and others came to help out.
I’m not the only one complaining, other producers are complaining. I don’t want to call names but nobody is saying anything good about Wizkid and you call yourself a superstar when you keep matching other people down.
What is the star about you? Is it because you are featuring other foreign artists? You are not the first to do that, others have done that before so why are you carried away?
“I don’t want to do anything with Wizkid anymore. Keep it to yourself, keep your name.
I have new friends and new family. But he can continue talking. We are listening.
I don’t wish him bad. He says my beat is amateur but watch out for Samklef.” He said

Timaya has been a commercial success right from the days of his dada and his 5th studio album titled ‘Epiphany’ comes with high expectations so hopefully, it doesn’t fall below par. Epiphany suggests a divine manifestation and the Egberi Papa is clothed all white on the cover perhaps in a bid to convey the supposed appearance of divine. Will the songs be able to attest to the epiphany?
The album begins with the Young D-produced track BOW DOWN, not bad for a start or is the Egberi Papaplaying safe? The next track is SANKO, it got me nodding but on a second listen I couldn’t shake off that Burna Boy vibe in the song. Timaya goes further with LAI LAI, again produced by Young D and it features Terry G. The song is a glorified crap! The ringing of bells and ‘kabashing’ literally makes no sense to me. And did Terry G just say ginger? Oh please! Stale lyrics. LOVE (MY BABY) is not a bad love song. He appreciates his baby or at least according to Timaya, “she good for bed” and that is enough to be grateful for. The use of Igbo language gives it that indigenous feeling and that little touch of high life in the beat gives it the ‘African-ness’.
GBAGAM follows after, featuring Phyno and Deetti. Orbeat doesn’t disappoint on the beat while Timaya and the featured artistes deliver well. Not a bad debut for Deetti as well. After this, Timaya comes out to let us know he is a bad man on BAD MAN TIN. It has awesome beats, heavily spiced with enough curry and maggi to tickle your fancy. It saved the day. My friends actually think the beat should have been reserved for a better song.The next song on the ‘Epiphany’ is titled IT’S ALLOWED. Typical Timaya! Just like the title, it’s allowed to skip to the next song. The song doesn’t pass any distinct meaning from player hating to whining the ukwu. C’mon! After skipping, the next track features Patoranking and it’s titled GIRLS DEM. The titled is self explanatory. Another bum-bum song. Nice beats though. HAPPY features a veteran, Sir Shina Peters. It’s an owambe jam with a lovely tune and not a bad collabo either. Shina Peters gave it that ‘old school touch’ but must Timaya always remind us that he and his mama sold plantain?
Next on the play list is SANKO DANCE HALL KING. I reserve my comment on this. On BOTHER ME,Timaya deviates from the bum-bum story to pass a message, especially on the state of unrest in the country. Not a bad track. The beats make you nod your head while you get the message in the lyrics.Egberi Papa sings of a strained relationship on PAIN. The beat is commercial enough. The lyrics? Nothing new but well delivered above average. OVERFLOW features Olamide. Dis wan na beta beat, good for the club goers. But must Olamide cough to prove a point? Like the title suggests on BEHIND ME, Timaya tells us another bum-bum story. Wonderful club banger so don’t expect sensible lyrics. After this, he says ESHE.Could he be thanking God for the bum-bum in Behind Me? The next tracks HOLD ME NOW, UKWU,EKOLOMA DEMBA & BOM BOM REMIX takes one on a journey round the world of bum-bums and ukwus.These tracks don’t disappoint the club goers.
The last track APPRECIATION which features 2face is a wonderful way to end a 5th album by appreciating his fans. This jam happens to be my favourite on the compilation. 2face brings in this unexplainable flavor while Young D does a good job on the production. The bonus track DEM NO LIKE ME featuring Raskimono is no fluke. Listen for yourself. The album Epiphany should have been termed ‘UKWU-PHANY’ due to the numerous bum-bum stories. Timaya’s compilation doesn’t fall below par because he hasn’t disappointed his targeted audience. After all, some second studio albums can’t hold water.
