Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, might have been faced with matrimonial crisis, but that has not stopped her acting skill, which gave her fame and fortune. Shortly after her marriage to Philip Ehiagwina crashed, it was reported that she acquired an expensive ride, which has not been confirmed yet.

When the going was rosy, the actress went on social media to announce her venture into the bakery business with the introduction of ‘Ini Delicious’, which took over the Ojota metropolis with many asking for it.

But latest report by E247 magazine has shown that the business is as good as dead. It was reported that the store has been locked and this may be connected with the recent crash in Ini Edo’s marriage. It was said that several court notices were pasted on the entrance of the store.

Chris Brown has been one of the biggest singers in the music business since he signed his record deal ten years ago in 2004 at just 15-years-old, so you may expect he would have some pretty good advice for any would-be artists out there wanting to achieve his level of success. But his wise words might come as a surprise for some after he told fans “don’t take my advice.”

Speaking in a clip from his new documentary The Rise And Rise Of Chris Brown he admits to having made his mistakes in the past and eats a big slice of humble pie, proving that maybe he has finally learnt his lesson from it all. In fact Chris, 25, appears to be extremely remorseful for his troubled past.

When asked what his tips for up and coming talent are the chart-topper gives the honest answer: “I’d say, ‘Well, don’t take my advice because I’m gonna show you the wrong way to do it.’”
In the clip from the show – obtained by HollywoodLife – Chris also talks about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who you can trust and who won’t just want you for your fame and will want to help you grow as an artist.
He said: “Just keep your circle really tight, make you’ve got a lot of loyalty around you. Real people who want to see you be the best that you can be, not just what you can bring them, you know be it fame or wealth or whatever it is. A good team – people who are smart and who think about your best interests.”
Chris also played on the importance of not becoming too involved in your own ego because it will put people off listening to and buying your music regardless of how talented you are. He added: “At the same time don’t let the fame get in the way of your talent, because sometimes you can be super talented, but then arrogance plays a part in it, you start getting cocky and then that overshadows the talent. So then it’s like ‘I don’t really like that person because of how they act.’”
And he admitted that the most important things you can do if you are faced with the temptations of fame are to remain true to yourself and focus on the music. He said: “Being humble is the key, be yourself, stay true to yourself and your music. That’s all you need to do.”
Sounds like great advice from what could well be a changed man.

D’banj partners with Apple for musical movie
Kokomaster, D’banj has confirmed that he indeed has a deal with Apple which involves making a musical movie about his 10-year journey as a musician.

In a telephone interview with Beat FM presenters, Olisa Adinua and Maria, D’banj who called in from Los Angeles said: ‘Most people have the wrong impression that Dr Dre was the one that signed me, but the contract I have says ‘APPLE’ and to take it further, my management, DKM Media in conjunction with Apple is working on a musical movie. I’m going to act in the movie and play the role of D’banj.’

At the moment, D’banj is currently taking acting lessons in preparation for the role and when asked why he needed to take acting lessons since he was simply playing the role of D’banj in the movie, he said: ‘Yes o, I’m currently taking acting lessons, initially, I didn’t know I would need acting lessons to play myself in the movie but they want to make it very professional and very well done.

Fayose shuts down fuel station of Ekiti House speaker, others

Barely a week after assuming office as governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose yesterday October 22nd shut down a fuel station belonging to the Ekiti state House of Assembly speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin, and a few others saying that the fuel stations posed environmental hazard to where they were located.

Reacting to the closure of his filling station, the Speaker said the governor was only out to victimize him for not defecting from his political party, APC to the PDP which Fayose belongs to. Continue..
 
“Hon. Joseph Olugbemi had told me two days after the governor’s inauguration that he (the governor) had made up his mind to close my filling station over refusal to join PDP. Olugbemi defected to PDP on the day Governor Fayose was inaugurated. I had earlier told the governor that in the interest of Ekiti people, the House of Assembly would work with him to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Ekiti State.
“I called the governor to confirm what the honorable member told me about the plan to close my filling station. He denied having such plans, swearing that he would not engage in victimization of his opponents. But only yesterday the governor ordered the closure of the filling station, citing environmental reasons,” the Speaker explained.
But in a swift reaction, the Chief Press Secretary of Governor Fayose, Idowu Adelusi, dismissed the speakers claims, saying that the reason for closing the fuel stations was environmentally related
“What Omirin said is totally false, there is no iota of truth in it. The essence of closing down those petrol stations is to ensure sanity and safety  in the state capital. While some petrol stations were sited on public properties or residential areas, everybody knows the danger it can cause if there is fire outbreak which had happened in some towns before, leading to loss of lives and property. Even in Lagos State, you cannot just site petrol station anyhow. Omirin should have nothing to fear, because the Governor has nothing against him.”

Fayose’s aide blasts Ekiti Speaker over closure of filling station, says – He has no right to own private business

Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Information and Social Media, Mr Lere Olayinka has described claims by Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Adewale Omirin that his filling station, T5 Petrol Station was sealed up for political reasons as the height of mischief and misrepresentation of facts. He said as a public office holder, “the Speaker does not have legal rights to own private business, and one wonders how someone prohibited by law to own private business while in office can be said to be the owner of a filling station that is under construction.”

       
Olayinka, in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, said; “as against the falsehood being spread by the Speaker and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Speaker’s Petrol Station, alongside three others were sealed up for contravening environmental laws.”The governor’s aide listed the four filling stations affected by the government action to include; INIS Integrated Services located along Iworoko Road, Ado-Ekiti; belonging Hon Churchill Adedipe, NIPCO Petrol Station (Morolu Global Services), Isato-Oke in Ado-Ekiti (belonging to Mr Oloko), T5 Petrol Station, Ajilosun in Ado-Ekiti (owned by Dr Adewale Omirin) and PHENROSE Limited, Ajilosun in Ado-Ekiti (owned by Mr Gilbert Igweka).Olayinka, who advised the Speaker to thread softly so as to prevent himself from being pushed into perdition, added that; “Code 2 (b) of the Code of Conduct Act prohibits public office holders like the Speaker from participating in management or running of any private business, profession or trade.“Therefore, those making noise in the media that Dr Omirin owns a filling station are only trying to throw him inside the web of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, and the noisemakers won’t be available to help him out of the mess they would have put him.”Speaking further; Olayinka said; for clarity sake; “Four filling stations were sealed-up and one of them belong to an Ibo man. Are they also saying that the Ibo man is a politician and being coerced by the governor?“Are they also saying that Mr Oloko, the owner of NIPCO Petrol Station (Morolu Global Services) is a member of the APC and a serving member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly?”He urged leaders of the APC, especially the immediate past governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and his godfather, Senator Bola Tinubu to accept their fate and let peace reign in Ekiti State.

Find the EFCC press statement below… Relief came for a blind teacher, Mary Ihekanacho on Wednesday October 22, 2014 as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, presented her with a draft of N550, 000 which the anti- graft agency recovered from a gang of fraudsters that swindled her of N 830,000 in a job scam.
The syndicate conned the woman by promising to facilitate her son’s employment with one of the oil majors. 

                     
Mr. David Iloyanomo who made the presentation on behalf of the Executive Chairman of EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, said that “the EFCC stands for justice for all and called on the general public to ensure that they assist the Commission in carrying out its duties by coming forward to give evidence in court when it is required”. He also praised the passion with which officers of the Commission handled the matter which made it possible to get justice for Mrs. Ihekanacho. 
An overwhelmed Mrs. Ihekanacho commended the EFCC for coming to her rescue. “I had lost hope. I prayed and asked God to take control and was surprised when Richard called me and told me that the young man has been arrested”. She called on Nigerians to support the EFCC in its effort to rid the nation of fraudulent activities. “If someone can scam a blind woman, what else won’t that person do?” she asked.
It would be recalled that Ihekanacho, sometime in July 2012, fell into the hands of some fraudsters led by Gift Onyegam who defrauded her of the sum of eight hundred and thirty thousand naira (N830, 000.00).
Following her petition, Onyegam was arrested and arraigned on a 4-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence before Justice M. L. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court, Enugu.
On February 24, 2014, Justice Shuiabu convicted and sentenced Onyegam to ten years imprisonment without option of fine. The court also ordered the convict to pay the victim, the sum of N711, 000 (seven hundred and eleven thousand naira) in restitution.

Patience Jonathan resigns as ‘Super’ Permanent Sec. in Bayelsa

Dame Patience Jonathan has resigned her appointment as ‘Super’ Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa state Civil service, a position conferred on her in July 2012 by the Governor of the state, Dickson Seriake. Seriake said he gave the appointment to Mama Peace based on her good service to the state and nation.


A source in the state Ministry of Education who pleaded anonymity with The Nation confirmed the First Lady’s voluntary resignation and said her resignation may likely not be unconnected to her deepening rift with the state governor.
“The whole thing is political. It appears Madam Peace is not happy with the governor. With her resignation, the battle line has been drawn. I feel the President’s wife resigned to enable her to have the moral right to slug it out with Dickson ahead of the governorship poll in the state. Let no one deceive you, the whole thing is politics. After all, she is 57 and the retirement age is 60.” he saidThe source also said that all her terminal benefits are been processed at the moment.
