      The attraction to P-Square‘s monster hit “Do Me” video, was the extremely fun scene, lovely ladies and the catchy lyrics…and Waje.

Now they are bringing that feel one more time with “Taste the Money (Testimony)“.
The opening scene of the video features a Maserati sports car with three beautiful women carrying a bag of goodies into the Squareville mansion where you can see the biggest party filled with more African beauties

.

It was shot in South Africa and directed by their brother/manager Jude “Engees” Okoye.

A Singer, Songwriter and Performer, Ify Otuya studied Music Performance and Production at the prestigious London Centre of Contemporary Music, where she received tuition from some international names including Toby Baker (Sinead O’connor, B.B King), Sid Gauld (Incognito), Pete Zeldman (Jaco Pastorius), Richie Stevens (Jay-Z), and played with the legendary Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Weseley (James Brown).

Based in Lagos, she’s written, recorded and toured the UK with musicians that include Folk-Soul sensation Whateverland, and Contemporary vocal group Souls of Prophecy Gospel Choir (Prince’s Trust Fund). She’s also been visible at different times, in circles within the Nigerian music industry (Felabration, Star Trek).

In 2010, she released her debut EP – “The Eclectic Definition of Miss O” [E.D.M.O], for which she combined African poly-rhythms with the melodic and emotive inflections of R&B.

What sets this talented afro-bohemian girl apart is her ability to effortlessly combine the earthiness of her roots with the essences of contemporary culture. There is experience, relevance, and diversity that come through in her music.

Nominated for “Song Of the Year” – African Gospel Music Awards in the UK and trending on twitter across Nigeria within minutes of its release, Nikki made a powerful statement when she released the soulful ballad in April, earlier this year. In the video for the RotimiKeys produced song, Nikki expresses her deep love and trust for God, the One who held her through the most trying time of her life – the recent loss of her Dad.
In her own words, Nikki says “This is my love note to the Lover of my soul- the one who kisses away my tears, the one who holds me tight late in the midnite hour; the one who has put my broken heart together again.
”
Shot on location in London by UK based video director/producer, Shabach, the video illustrates Nikki making a home video recording – a picturesque video message expressing the intimate bond between father and child, with Nikki showing her uninhibited love and trust in an emotional and sometimes playful way.
Dedicated to the memory of her late father, Prince Olushola Laoye, who passed away in her arms in 2011, Nikki further explains, “Shooting this video was very emotional for me”, she says. “I had to get past being upset,and actually sing the song, not cry through it. My Dad was a true representation of who God is to me so I literally looked into the camera and saw Him smiling back at me, urging me on.
