Balling things. Mr handsome and wealthy Davido dropped almost $8,000 (about N1.3m) for a suite at the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas and Encore hotel for his birthday weekend next month. He paid that money for only three nights, November 21st to 24th. These things usually have to be paid in advance. He shared his booking confirmation on his instagram page. #living!

Shocking. Mum who permitted her BF to kill her child freed after telling her story

In October 2012, 23yr old Victoria Phanhtarath and her then boyfriend Freddy Mendez were arrested over the beating death of Victoria’s 3 year old daughter, Alexis Hawkins. Freddy was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, Victoria was sentenced to 35 years for failing to protect her child from an abusive man. Describing how Freddy beat Alexis to death, Victoria said;
“Freddy is still spanking Alexis and I go get my son. And I come back and he’s sitting there. And he pushed her and he kicked her and threw her across the room, all the way to the window. He picked her up by the throat and slammed her on the floor. He’s kicking her and hitting her on the chest. And he said get this little b**ch. Go take care of her.”

When asked what she did to stop the vicious attack, Victoria said “I told him to calm down and go outside”. Police was called to the home where little Alexis was found unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died. Two years after Victoria was convicted for the murder, a judge set her free after she told her own story
            

During the case, the Oklahoma City mum entered a plea deal where she pleaded guilty to ‘murder by permitting child abuse and also testified against Freddy’ But two years later, prosecutors agreed for the case to go to court again. And when Victoria told a judge how she herself had suffered abuse from Freddy and refused to tell anyone because she was embarrassed
Victoria describes her own abuse in the hands of Freddie prior to Alexis death…

“He started grabbing me and starts punching me in my face. He shoves me to the pool. I try to get out, he shoves me back into the pool. He starts hitting me and dragging me around. I’m screaming and crying, he tells me to shut up.”.
            
She said it wasn’t the first time but she was too embarrassed to tell anyone that she was in an abusive relationship.  
After Victoria told her story…everything changed. The judge cried. The jury cried. And then the judge did something no one expected. He modified her sentence, struck off the 35 years and set her free. Victoria had only been in prison for two years.
You think she deserved to be freed after two years? I think she should have serves like five years in prison.You don’t bring an abusive man around your children and only tell them to calm down when they grab your child by the throat and slam them on the ground.
If someone hits you and hits your child once, you remove that person from your life. And when they brutally attack like this, you don’t just stand there and tell them to calm down. You grab whatever you can to protect your child or remove that child from there ASAP and then call the police. I’m so mad at this mum.

An India man is said to be in a critical condition after some mobs cut off his private part for trying to rape a teenage girl in India. 
According to reports, some group of men in India’s northwestern Rajasthan state heard screams for help in an isolated path and ran to help only to find a 40-year-old Suresh Kumar pinning a little girl on the wall while trying to forcefully rape.
The angry mob lynched and dragged him to a butchers shop where he was beaten for hours before castrating him then dumped him on the road.
Suresh Kumar who was bleeding tried getting help but no one wanted to help him because everyone knew what his offense….Police are now looking for those responsible for chopping off his private part… See more photos below

18yr old kills his own mother and loses his virginity to her corpse

18 year old Kevin Jazrael Davis (pictured left) has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his own mother. According to reports, Kevin attacked his mother (pictured right) with a hammer, striking her 20 times on the head, on March 26th 2014 at their home and then had sex with her corpse.
According to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, in a police video showed to jurors during his trial, Kevin confessed to having violent and sexual fantasies involving women, including his own mother and sister. He attacked his mother when they were alone and turned himself in to police the next day.

Kevin, who told police that he was not insane and knew what he was doing, said he put his hand inside her mother’s head to feel her brain and then lost his virginity to her corpse. He was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday October 8th

Kemi Omotoyinbo’s death was very preventable – Sola Fajana

Dancer Kemi Omotoyinbo died on October 1st after being in and out of labour for several days at a private hospital in Lagos. (Read here). Wellness doctor, Sola Fajana says her death was preventable. Read what he wrote below…

I read about Kemi Omotoyinbo’s death some few days back and I still feel so much burden to write about it. She is a popular dancer and died during child birth. Her friends took to social media to condemn the managing Doctor on how she was treated and refusal to perform the surgery due to unavailability of funds.

If I were the Doctor I would have gone ahead to save her life but my concern is why did her friends keep her there if they knew she could not afford it? I mean, 450k is a lot of money and if you can’t afford it, go to a cheaper facility.

Why toy with your friend’s life? I still know of some centers in Nigeria that you can get CS done for as low as 50K.

Again we can’t say much because we don’t know what transpired between both parties.

It is my duty to let you know that WHEN ACTIVE LABOUR LASTS MORE THAN 12HOURS, you are placing the life of the baby or the mother or both of them at risk. At that point it is an emergency.

Common reasons you may be advised to have Emergency Casserian Section:

1. Distressed foetus.
2. A previous CS scar.
3. Failed induction of Labour.
4. Bleeding or cord prolapse.
5. Scan showing transverse or breech presentation.
6. Estimated size of baby is too large.
7. Twin babies are entwined.
8. Baby has a congenital abnormality such as hydrocephalus.
9. Pelvis is particularly small or an unusual shape.

Imagine the number of people that die each day due to such negligence. It was a death that could have been prevented

GEJ to confer with leaders of Cameroon, Niger, Chad and Benin Republic on further collaboration against terrorism

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will undertake a one-day official visit to Niamey, capital of Niger Republic tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 to participate in an Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.
President Jonathan and other participating Heads of State and Government are expected to review ongoing collaboration against terrorism and agree on further joint action to curb terrorism and insurgency within and across their national boundaries.
It will be recalled that President Jonathan and the Heads of State and Government of the neighbouring countries of Niger, Chad, Cameroon and Benin Republic resolved at a meeting in Paris in May this year to intensify joint efforts to curtail terrorism and violent extremism.
At the Paris Summit hosted by President Francois Hollande of France in the aftermath of the dastardly abduction of the Chibok College girls,  President Jonathan and neighbouring heads of state and government also  agreed to establish joint anti-terrorism patrols and a system of sharing  intelligence to support operations against terrorists and other cross-border criminals.
They likewise agreed to create a dedicated team to draw up and advise on the implementation of a regional counter-terrorism strategy under the framework of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.  
Benin Republic, which participated in the Paris Summit but is not a member of the Lake Chad Basin Commission, has been invited to the Niamey talks.
The Lake Chad Basin Commission was established in 1964 by Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon with the mandate of sustainably and equitably managing   shared water resources of the Lake Chad Basin and promoting regional integration, peace and security across the Basin.
President Jonathan who will be accompanied to Niamey by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali, the Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, the Chief Of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Barde and other senior government officials will return to Abuja at the conclusion of the one-day summit.

               First time soon to be mum Kelly Rowland stripped for Elle magazine and talks about raising a child in the spotlight. When asked what kind of celebrity mum she will be, Kelly replied;
“I just plan to play it by ear. Everybody has their normal. And sometimes, award shows are a part of that. I have girlfriends who have that experience, and they’ll say ‘You know, I just really didn’t want to be without my child today.’ And it’s just that simple. It’s about finding your normal, whatever that may be.”
