Twitter user @MadamFunky took to her twitter page this morning to share a horrible experience she claimed she went through in Lagos in the hands of a taxi driver who robbed and raped her after she boarded his Taxi on a Friday night heading to Festac.
Now I don’t know how true this story is because she plugged in an advert for Access Uber Taxi…but just in case it’s true..it’s something we can all learn from. Read her story after the cut…
Please read from bottom to top to understand this better…

A young girl was stopped this morning from trying to kill herself in the Okaka-Epie area of Yenagoa in Bayelsa state. According to a LIB reader who witnessed the incident and sent in the photos, the depressed girl, after fighting with her sister, drank ‘sniper’ (which one is sniper again?). A young boy who saw her writhing on the grass quickly called neighbours who fed her with red oil and rushed her to the hospital. She’s expected to survive. See more photos after the cut…

For allegedly stealing a bag of clothes at a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) terminus, a 44-year-old woman, Bolanle Awosika, on Thursday appeared before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Awosika, of No. 14, Ajadi Lawal St., Ikorodu, Lagos, is facing a count charge.
She, however, denied committing the offence.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, told the court that Awosika committed the offence at 3:00p.m., on 2 December, at a BRT terminus at Idumota on Lagos Island.
He said that the accused stole a sack containing male and female clothes valued at N150,000.
The prosecutor said that the clothes belonged to a trader, Mrs Christiana Olala.
According to Ighodalo, Olala asked Awosika, who was in a queue with her, to assist her to carry the sack. Ighodalo said: “By the time Olala returned, Awosika had disappeared with the sack of clothes.”
The prosecutor said that luck, however, ran out on the accused when the complainant spotted her at the same bus stop on 9 December.
He said that Olala raised an alarm which alerted passersby who apprehended Awosika and handed her over to the police.
Ighodalo said that the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
NAN reports that Section 285 stipulates three years imprisonment for stealing.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.M. Ajayi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case to 15 December for mention.

The incident happened on a walkway beside a major drainage network on Adifashe Street, around 2.30pm on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Ogun State indigene was said to be survived by a child.
It was gathered that Ikuoyemi was smoking hemp around the drainage when the gunmen, who had been monitoring his movement, arrived on a motorcycle.
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity for security concern, said the suspected Aiye Confraternity members shot the victim twice. She said, “There were two of them who came on the motorcycle. Immediately they arrived, they met him where he was smoking hemp.
“He was backing them and was unaware of their presence.
“They first shot him in the armpit. When he turned around to face them, they gave him a second shot in the head and he fell into the gutter.”
The gunshots were said to have spread panic in the area as residents ran helter-skelter.

Tour guide, who witnessed the incident said:
“She did not cry or scream when she was bitten. It happened so quickly. Nobody could do anything.”
Park guide Thanes Wiriyaporn said the incident took place around feeding time:
“Just right in front of me, she just jumped into the pond without a word. The moment the crocodile grabbed her body, she even hugged onto him.”
Zoo keepers tried to save her but could do nothing. They managed to ward off the crocodiles to prevent them from attacking, but their affords failed. Woman`s identified by police just because her documents were floating in the water.
